This iReporter realized at one point that he was 1/4 mile away from where police and emergency units were positioned on Thursday afternoon. 'I crossed Battallion Avenue in an attempt to find an alternate route to my destination when I observed two life flight helicopters leaving that location and heading toward what I believe was the nearest hospital. I was able to stop and take the submitted photograph. I then received a phone call from a co-worker who informed me of the location of the suspected shooting and I was stunned to realize I was so close to the scene.'
