My Beautiful Mother

We recently lost our beautiful mother at age 88, Melba Ware Yeary, affectionately known as Mema, by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and also known as Mema to all their friends. My mother's newspaper carrier had never met her, as mom was his first delivery in the morning. After he found out that she had died from a fall, he left a note for us at her backdoor. We thought maybe they had talked by phone because in his note he said they had not met in person, but he knew her "heart to heart." We learned that they had been sharing notes back and forth. Mom left him a tip recently because she knew at age 45, he had lost his full-time job, had a bout with cancer, and was expecting twins. He thought she was such a wonderful lady and they had never met. He must also be a wonderful man for taking time to write my mother notes and he gave us a precious memory to keep with us . . . how wonderful and kind our mother was to everyone. We all miss her so very much.
