I think the American people need to reall ask themselves, what is the government's responsibility, specifically the House of Reps. Know no one really knows went on behind closed doors, but almost certainly some prizes were dealt out for those willing to give their vote.

Is the Houses duty to do what you  think you need, or what THEY think you need?  Assuming all Representatives look out for themselves, you have to think there is a reason the vote was so close.  I think its a combination of A, they legit think its a poor bill and B, there constituents really don't want it, and they dont want to be hung up to dry a year from now.    Politicans are really good at staying in office, so I would think they know.

Doesn't the the House have an obligation to vote on behalf of its constituents, regardless of their reasons for doing so?
