At The USS New York
November 8, 2009 | New York, New York | Vetting explained
The USS New York is in its first visit to the city whose name it bears.
The line of people waiting to visit went for almost 10 blocks, from Pier 88 on 48th Street down the bike path of the Hudson River Park to 39th Street.
Once inside, service men and women off all ranks showed the daily routines of their duties, gave equipment and weapons demonstrations and shared experiences with visitors

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
