Father's Day... my friend Angel and her baby girl
June 16, 2008 | Bel Air, Maryland | Vetting explained
On Friday my friend Angel came by with her baby girl Maaliyah. She had a difficult pregnancy for other reasons than I'm willing to share but suffice it to say unlike her previous two children she had pain throughout the 9 months she carried her little girl. During that time she leaned on me for help with baby stuff and to set up her apartment. It was hard for her to put on a smile the way she did and towards the end things were difficult for the both of us. But on 30 May she sent me a picture of her new little girl and told me that because of me, Maaliyah got big "In there". She thanked me that night, and last Thursday she thanked me again for sticking beside her when she needed help. On Friday my son (my only child) observed that with Angel bringing Maaliyah over I was going to have a great Father's Day. I did, and as she left, I told Angel that I was so glad I met her.
