When it comes to "Doomsday" Films, this Pic Tops Them All. Yes, it's formula film making. The first part sets you up with the characters and their lives and personalities. All the action is in the middle, and there is the happy ending. But there is a lot of humor too. The CGI / FX makes Earthquake and The Towering Inferno look like kindergarten. Of coarse, most of the world's landmarks are destroyed, and A LOT of people die. But there are no Aliens or Spaceships here, and it has a sense of urgency to it, because 2012 is only three years away. But the world's leaders and scientists have a plan to save our species. Will it work? Go see the movie to see! Grade: A

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
