iReport —

My curiosity got the best of me. After interviewing people, who had been camped out for days to be at the premiere of New Moon, I felt compelled to see it for myself.  The Twilight saga has reached a cult status, clearly with a cult following. I am guessing they have been bitten! This was one of the largest premiere's and is being compared to the Academy Awards for fan turn out. Fans were yelling, screaming, and chanting out the names of every arriving star. The fans were warned  not press up against the rail, caged animals to say the least. I am surprised I was able to shoot anything I was bumped so many times.  I have added only a sampling of the evening. I realized swiftly there was a division amongst The Twilight fans... Team Edward vs Team Jacob. The stars did make the rounds and I was able to catch Kellan Lutz,, who plays Emmett Cullen, signing autographs and spotted many other cast members from a distance. Mario Lopez, from Extra, also graciously greeted the fans that were screaming out his name. Crazy to say the least, I feel like I have been to a rock concert. All this and still no movie for public viewing. The wait was solely to see the stars, and take part in the movie premiere. People traveled from all over to attend. Many people will gather once again in Westwood, this thursday,  for the opening of the movie. It will begin at midnight, and fans will finally get the opportunity to see New Moon. I will be asleep. My favorite part was watching two good samaritans, give away a ticket to the Premiere. Watching the movie with the stars, was this Jessica Wellman's dream come true. This can be seen on my previous report.
