It boggles my mind how people can be so ignorant and I simply just don't understand why people feel the way they do about marriage.

I am a straight woman and I fully support gay marriage.  Yes, it

doesn't impact my decision to be married, but it impacts me as a human

being. I am moved to tears and am so thankful my wonderful homestate has taken such a stance

to improving the lives of all of its citizens.  Now I just pray that in

November, the citizens full of ignorance won't overturn this momentous

ruling.

I truly just don't buy the religious argument.  If you were so righteous in your beliefs, why wouldn't you love all of God's children, ALL of them?  Some say this is a choice, how can you think so?  Why would anyone choose to be ousted and ridiculed by society the way homosexuals are?  That just makes zero sense!  To be able to fully accept yourself as a gay person in today's world takes such courage.  I am so happy there are more and more celebrities who come out, it is so important because it really does pave the way.  I challenge anyone who is against gay marriage to really take a look in the mirror and figure out what makes you think you're so much better than a homosexual person that you can lay judgement on them and tell them they aren't allowed to be in the union of marriage.  See what its like to walk in their shoes for one day, just one.  You will see that yes, they may face some different challenges given the societal views towards who they share a bed with, but other than that we are all the same.  They love just the way we (straight people) do, they live just the way we do and they laugh just the way we do.

Why America, why?!?!
