CNN producer note
mvalgal and friends had a lot to say about Oprah's decision to end her show. Here is more reaction from New York.

After 25 years, our Oprah is leaving daytime television, She has been a staple at 3:00 p,m. on the West Coast. Even if she starts her own cable network and has her talk show there, it won't be the same.
All of my friends are fans of Oprah, even if they are not able to watch her show everyday. She has had such a huge impact on our culture. She made reading a popular pastime and has launched the careers of hundreds of authors. Merely by mentioning their book on her show, their sales figures skyrocketed. You were the chosen one if Oprah liked your writing.
Everyone wanted to be a guest on her Favorite Things program. If Oprah endorsed your product, then hang on -- your life was about to change.
Most of all, Oprah seemed like one of the girls. She struggled with her weight and had problems in her relationships through the years. Even as she became the richest woman in the world, she still seemed like someone you would want to hang out with.
Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray and Dr. Oz are all graduates of Oprah University. Their popularity on her show evolved into the launch of their own one-hour daytime talk shows. Oprah has definitely changed the face of daytime television.
She tackled difficult topics and opened the door for discussions about child abuse, domestic violence and attempted to teach us financial responsibility, among other things.
This video was a spur of the moment discussion between my friends before dinner. Oprah's departure had been a topic of discussion for the evening, so we decided to say a short thank you to Oprah and reminisce about our favorite Oprah moments.
Thank you, Oprah. :)
