ITs the President of Romania, Traian Basescu, hitting a 10 year old child during an election campaign. The images are shocking and shameful. He is now running for a second mandate. Asked about it, he claims he doesn't remember, he needs to talk to his staff before giving an answer.

UPDATE: After checking with the staff, Traian Basescu later denied hitting a child. However, the AV experts claim the images are not fake.

The child and his mother, now living in Italy, were threatened by anonymous phone calls. After initially confirming the story, they refused to give further details to the media, as they fear for their life.
