The Bible does say that homosexuality is indeed sinful. The scripture is quite clear on this point. However, it also says that I am a sinner too. I daily struggle against my flesh, but through Christ I gain victory.
We are all sinful in some way or another, "all have come short of the glord of God". No one person is better than any other.
We must all repent of our sins and accept Christ, and follow the Holy Word of God.
Regarding the law change, I have a unique viewpoint perhaps in that I do not think there should be any laws about whom can marry who.
I realized this when I studied a certain topic. I don't see polygyny as Biblically prohibited. (note, it is different than polygamy). No I am not Morman. I am just a regular believer who is trying to follow scripture. I do not see a Biblical prohibition regarding one man with multiple wives.
I now do believe in a seperation of Church and state.
The reason for that is I don't want the state meddling in my faith. Nor do I believe that by legislating faith, that I will bring anyone to Christ. God gave us free will. We must choose on our own if we will accept and follow Him.
I do not think there is Biblical precident for anything but seperation. We are to be in the world, but not of it.
We all have to chose whether or not to obey God, the government has little to do with that.
