California's Winter Wonderland... The Pacific Ocean
November 30, 2009 | malibu, California | Vetting explained
Stormy weather makes for stormy seas. Here in California, when the alert goes out, "High surf and Swells, Stay out of the Water" ... the experts do the exact opposite. 8-10ft swells occurred over the weekend due to stormy, windy weather here in Southern California. The thrill of the surf brought many well versed in water sports out to Malibu and other coastal beaches to catch a wave and fly in the wind! Watching the kite surfers is especially exciting. The colors of their kites fill the sky, and the exhilaration of flying through the air is one that I can only imagine. The Pacific Ocean has so much to offer those who love water sports; surfing, kite boarding, wind surfing, paddle boarding, and kayaking to name a few. The Pacific ocean is a winter playground!
