True? False? Pants on Fire?

According to Aljazeera the USA Government counts 50 000 "independent contractors" of which 69% Afghan to service support of the war effort...from security to training to issue of material food medical services etc...

The new USA Military Commander ordered a military (not government) re-count - they counted payroll of 79 000 contractors... it means the USA government is paying 79 000 contractors of which they only tag 50 000 officially thus 29 000 contractors paid but not sure "what for"...

My inner mind goes - what is the statistical probability that USA Dollars filters through to the Taliban which has a seamless identity with all strata of Afghan business and social network?

Even if my "notion of inner mind" is not "directly true"... look at the following example staring direct in the face...the Afghan president's brother, a thug, drug dealer and money launderer.

Another "direct stare" example...

a ficticious little story / here goes...

"If I am (Mr Allah Mohammed) serving in an Afghan medical support unit, and I am on payroll, (not volunteer) and I am being paid $ 5 000 Dollars per month for medical services rendered (i am a reflexologist and I massage Yankee toes), and my youngest brother is riding all over country on a scooter with 40 other compadres and a bazooka over his shoulder, and I deposit some "bucks" in my naughty little brother's account which he can draw from the one and only working "local Afghan Pofadder ATM"... I am funding my country's war with "Moolah from the Enemy!" That sits very well in my Afgan Inner Mind - "Death to America!"

"" /// Funny if it were not so shockingly possible!! /// ""

The way I know life = there are many more examples of all the shades of grey, than black and white...

so let's be crude for a moment;

"I am (Mr John Dow / Peter Smith / Yarif Cohen) coming back home with our beloved "Uncle Sam flag" covering my mahogany coffin with golden "bracelets" and I am sporting a "string around the big toe of my right foot" with brown paper tag reading "last mortuary temperature = 14 Degree Celcius 11h45 pm Greenwich Time" , I (Mr Joh Doe / Peter Smith / Yarif Cohen) with "ALL STRINGS ATTACHED" - might have paid part and parcel my monthly income tax to 'so by the by' directly and indirectly fund the very same person that killed me... "

bottom line - NOTHING in a war makes sense!

I  am a South African living the past 17 years in my country of which the last 15 years in freedom. I am very “waspy” but went on “private exile” 1990-92 and returned to my country when  I  saw positive developments 2 years before the first free elections in 1994… I remember well it was the weekend Chris Hani was murdered and my country in was hysteria stocking up on bottled water and tins of food…

In the end by the Grace of God we had no civil war, and we created a free society for all!

I lived in San Fernando Valley / LA - USA for nearly a year (1991-2) - time of the 2 earth quakes in Big Bear and Chatsworth,  LA riots, veldt fires, and 3rd election candidate Ross Perot whose quick start promising efforts were derailed after a certain anti "gay right's speech"...

I know what it means “only in America”...

This "string notion of my inner mind" smells very much like ... “only in America”

Probable? ... me think “most probable”…

WHY DO WE NOT LEARN THAT THERE IS NO WINNER IN ANY WAR?

It is because wars are money spinners... it is sad and true!
