Yay for Same-Sex Marriages!

I am so happy for CA and MA to allow same-sex marriages. These civil unions are a great step forward for the GLBT community. I have always been a strong supporter of same-sex marriages because they provide the civil rights that any couple should be allowed to have. Some may say that to solve this problem, marry someone of the opposite sex. But why marry someone you don't love? That's not what marriage is about. For those that say its unsafe for kids to be raised in a 'gay' family - there are plenty of straight couples with kids that should not be allowed to have kids! What about the mother that just left her 2 year old at a Wal-mart with a note? (http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2008/06/17/dnt.boy.abandoned.walmart.cnn) And for those that think its wrong because of the Bible. The Bible says we shall not judge others. If you believe its wrong, fine - don't marry someone of the same sex. But don't judge or pretend not to judge because only God can do that. And I believe that God loves all people - no matter what.
