Pimp My Cubicle With Red Mahogany Manifesto Luxury
June 19, 2008 | Jacksonville, Florida | Vetting explained
Back by popular demand... and at the request of the folks at CNN... I have more photos and images of my Extreme Cubicle Makeover project.
Several people wondered if I purchased a kit or whether I made it myself, so I decided to post shots of my highly amateur woodshop (my driveway), and some how-to shots of some of the techniques of how it was constructed.
You'll be able to tell from the photos that my next needed extreme makeover is likely going to be losing about twenty pounds, but when you're in the midst of woodworking, you're not trying to impress anyone.
I've been getting some really cool emails of support including an offer from ThinkGeek.com to sponsor some gadgets for the cubicle project and from Rejuvenation.com with an offer of free period lighting to complement the cubicle design.
My favorite part are the compliments and criticisms of the piece ranging from eviscerations of the quality of the project to management blogs displaying the luxury cube as metaphor for unnecessary management change to just raw cubicle envy.
What fun!!!
Enjoy these latest photos,
Jared Nielsen
