A Dream Come True
June 19, 2008 | Foster, Kentucky | Vetting explained
Hi Robin,
We travel to Indianapolis Motor Speedway every year to watch practice, qualifying and the Brickyard. My son, Brandon, has always had a dream of meeting his favorite NASCAR driver, Jimmie Johnson. In 2005, me and my sister took him to Indy, and much to his surprise, he got to meet his best friend, Jimmie Johnson.
Jimmie autographed his book, hat and shirt. Before we left the autograph session, Jimmie said "Hey, little guy, come over here." Then Jimmie reached out his hand and gave Brandon a high-five.
This was a wonderful experience Brandon (and our whole family) will remember for the rest of his life.
The "race car" above was created by his sister for a Halloween costume when he wanted to be Jimmie Johnson.
