Ajai
January 14, 2010 | Vetting explained
As a US Peace Corps volunteer staying in a rural village in The Gambia, this photo was taken of my host sister Ajai. I was working with the small village during the food crisis, and teaching the teaching the children how to implement vegetables into their diet. She is standing in front of the newly fenced garden as we are about to go water the plants during sunset.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
