Frank lashed out its fury on a province so long forgotten by many. And even in this calamity of flooding and great destruction, nary a news item was reported about what's happened there. Not much also in the national news about a province long neglected. Thanks to the internet and computer savvy young people at Kinaray-a.com, Inc. and Iririmaw Tatun yahoogroup, we got to see and read about the situation in the province of Antique in Panay island, Western Visayas, the Philippines. Sharing a few photos (courtesy of Kinaray-a.com) here of the aftermath of this super typhoon - the broken Bungsod Bridge, a child needing clothes, and the shoreline in Belison town. Relief operations are being conducted by many concerned individuals and organizations, together with the local government. More pictures and updates at http://www.kinaray-a.com.
In response to assignment: Severe weather
