Aftermath of Frank in Antique
Frank lashed out its fury on a province so long forgotten by many.
And even in this calamity of flooding and great destruction, nary a
news item was reported about what's happened there. Not much also
in the national news about a province long neglected. Thanks to the
internet and computer savvy young people at Kinaray-a.com, Inc. and
Iririmaw Tatun yahoogroup, we got to see and read about the
situation in the province of Antique in Panay island, Western
Visayas, the Philippines. Sharing a few photos (courtesy of
Kinaray-a.com) here of the aftermath of this super typhoon - the
broken Bungsod Bridge, a child needing clothes, and the shoreline
in Belison town. Relief operations are being conducted by many
concerned individuals and organizations, together with the local
