iReport —

I was born in 1975 and when i was very little my oldest brother came home with a TI-99. It was so high tech that the neighbors came over to see it. The disk drive for the actual floppy disks was about the size of a small lazer printer today. The monitor was a black and white tv connected via an old RF cable. In order to play the games which came on a cartridge, one had to load either a 5.25 floppy disk or play a cassette tape which was linked to the computer. The classic games included Alpiner, Tunnels of Doom, Star Trek, and Number Magic to name a few. You could even buy an external speaker which worked as a speech synthesizer. It never sounded like the WOPR in War Games. Those were the days!
