My soon to be 2 Eagles
February 9, 2010 | Silver Lake, Indiana | Vetting explained
Scouting has been a huge part of our family. When our sons joined as Tigers in Cub Scouts my husband & I signed up as leaders and the fun began. As the boys progressed through Cub Scouts so did we, first as Den Leaders, then Cubmasters and onto Troop Committee Members once the boys crossed over. We became active in our District and took on training, not only ourselves but other leaders. After WoodBadge, we went onto be District Training Chairs and were even sent to Philmont for Training. At that time the boys were to young to go with the Troop but they went with us and had a blast in the Program areas.
We all will tell you some of our best friends were made through Scouting. And some of our best times were at Scouting events.
Can't wait until son #2 sits his Eagle Board next week!
