Tragedy at Huntsville AL Airshow
June 29, 2008 | Huntsville, Alabama | Vetting explained
Thousands of people were enjoying watching the acrobats of the airshow when a storm came up. The planes were grounded and everyone thought it would be only a brief shower, but we would be wrong. It was a very strong storm and had people running for cover where ever they could find it, including under the chalet tents that were sitting on the run way, held down not by stakes but by weighted drums. 3 of the tents were turned upside down by the storm. Several people were injured and it is now being reported one person died.
