Quincy, IL - North Bottoms Rd. & S. Indian Graves
July 7, 2008 | Quincy, Illinois | Vetting explained
These photos were taken while riding as a passenger on a Harley V-Rod as we traveled north on North Bottoms Road in South Indian Graves Levee District 7/5/08 at approximately 2:00 p.m.
Mississippi River at Quincy was 17.87 feet as of 11:00 p.m. C.S.T. 7/6/08. Crest was 30.8 feet 6/18/08 at 5:30 a.m. This is a decrease of 12.93 feet.
From the pictures you will see the water lines on the telephone poles and along the banks.
The debris and rotting cornstalks in the fields is everywhere mainly past Baseline Road and ends at the Cobb family home next to Rock Creek Levee.
If you are working with flood restoration, it is recommended to use gloves but I found these products to be helpful also: Neutrogena SPF 85 with Helioplex sunscreen, REAL not imitation vanilla for gnat repelling, and Deep Woods Off.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
