Getting the Dirt on Flood Clean Up

This is the parking lot at the Old Fort in Fort Madison, Iowa. People have been working hard to clean dirt from around the fort, and this pile is small in comparison to others that I have seen. Dirt is only one of the many things to appear in the after math of the flood. In this picture you can see how brown the grass is from being soaked by the water.
