St. Louis Stadium Club August 23, 1969
July 15, 2008 | Vetting explained
I had the good fortune to be in the Stadium Club watching the St. Louis Cardinals play on Hall of Fame night. I met the following: Joe DiMaggio, Casey Stengel, Jack Buck, Harry Carey, Max Carey, Ted Lyons, Red Ruffing, Dizzie Dean, Sam Rice, Bob Feller, Marty Marion, Lefty Grove, Frank Frisch, Edd Roush.
Harry Carey was kind enough to bring me into the room where these wonderful gentlemen were going to be interviewed and I got to meet them all. They then signed the napkin for me. It was an unforgettable night.
Hope the image comes out clear.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
