Clowning Around
While going through my photos that I'd scanned into my computer, I
realized that I have cropped all of my polaroids so that the
infamous space below the photo (where we'd write info) doesn't
show.
This pic was taken probably around 1980. I was 8 then (I'm 36
now). I had taken crayola waterproof markers & made a clown
face on my dad while he was supposedly sleeping. Now that I'm
grown, I doubt that he was actually asleep, but he let me do it.
Anyway, mom grabbed the trusty polaroid & snapped this shot of
us. This picture is priceless to me- dad has been gone for 8 years
now.
A lot of my childhood is on polaroids- especially Christmas.
I miss them- but I love digital photograpy now. You can get the
same "instant gratification" feeling as with the Polaroids
(although you don't have to wait 5 minutes to see the picture) and
there were no fast shutter speeds with the polaroid.
