I'm Vickie Maidstone reporting from the Heros Sims 26 campsite for this years Relay For Life. I had the most wonderful time this past weekend to be involved with my team, FRIENDS FIGHTING CANCER during this year's relay. Our camp site was built to honor the astronauts of the US Space Program and showed the transition of the space program since it's inception. The build was in two parts, the one on the ground where I am standing and the other was high in the sky above me. The underlying theme for our build was "A Future Without Cancer". It is truly amazing at what our team did to get here again this year and I am including a few shots from the relay site itself. The first picture shows me at the entrance to our camp site, the second as myself and another team mate walked during the team lap immediately following the Survivors and care givers lap, and the third picture is at the closing ceremony along with teamates, Captain Ozz Seattle, myself, Zander Greene, Ember Farina, Co Captain, and Earth Primble, and a few other people who joined with us during a wonderful closing ceremony.
I will have a followup to this story by the weekend, I'm Vickie Maidstone reporting for CNN SLIREPORTS.
