iReport —

I saw what Spike Lee said on todays show and figure I respond to what he said as I relate in a different way.

In this video I talk about what it is like to be a new Indy black filmmaker and being labeled and categorized in Hollywood to low ball budgets because of color or content. Also about being half black and half Mexican.

This is part one of my story.

I just watched my video after I uploaded it and I have a edit mistake but please just ignore that. I wanted to re-upload the correction but I see no options on this site to delete this so I can re-post.

Thanks

Most kids are learning the N word in the homes as well as in school. But they are not getting their history of the N word and black history from home or from their schools. Their learning these N words on the radio and as slang from the school yard before they get the correct history. Once they get the right history it is to late as their mind is already corrupt by the TV/radio and by their friends.

If you wondering why i us the name Mooncricket as my dance name, I got the name when I was a kid in 1986 during a basket ball game as I went up for a lay up. They said it every time so I thought they meant I looked like a cricket going to the moon. I then made  a comic character that was a cricket from the moon. Then later it became my dance name as I then found out what it really means. I will tell more about this story of why I use the name Mooncricket as video blog if requested.
