Behind the redwood curtain
July 23, 2008 | Crescent City, California | Vetting explained
You may have taken off already, and are not able to avail yourselves to northern California, but if you haven't, turn north and proceed past the Golden Gate Bridge (360 miles) until you come to Jed Smith State Park and bask in the tallest greenest trees in the world and one of the cleanest rivers in the world. It may be something to judge the rest of the country from.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
