Outstanding!
July 24, 2008 | North Augusta, South Carolina | Vetting explained
Thank you so much Soledad for this wonderful documentary! It was an eye opener for me because as a black single educated woman (this is from a strong background, my mother) I need to get more involved in my black community! How do I go about starting a program to help my community like some of the people you interviewed? Did they discuss how they got it started! Thank you once again, Soledad! To be black and american?? I LOVE IT and wouldn't trade it for the world!

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
