I am so sick and tired of hearing the woes is me from so many black people. Are there some people who are still prejudice because a person is black? Yes, but prejudice exists in all forms- small breasts, big breasts, tall, short, educated, not, blonde, brunette, old, young and the list goes on and on. The people who keep opressing the black race are the blacks. They keep constantly mentioning that they are black and those that talk about how they were enslaved- YOU WEREN'T ENSLAVED!!! Yes your great great grand parents were and that was horrible and wrong but you are free as a bird and always have been and have had the world at your fingertips!! Who's holding down the black people? The black people, thats who. And don't get me started on all black schools and quotas for colleges. Quotas might have been necessary 50 years ago but they no longer have a place- let the best person win, black white or polka dot. And can you imagine if whites had an all white college or two?? We'd be racist pigs. For people who want euaility it seems that they keep segregating themselves and brining up whats different about them every chance there is. 'Black in America', I would love to be black in America-highest paid athletes, top actors and actresses, some of the best dr.'s, lawyers, I could qualify for special black only scholarships for post education... The blacks who aren't getting anywhere in life need to face reality and realize it's not the 'white man' holding them down it's themselves just like any other negative, angry, bitter person in this world who doesn't want to take responsibility for their own plight in life-jobless, bankrupt, passed up for a raise, whatever the case may be. Quit riding on the coat tails of your ancestors plight and do what they would have loved to do- live life to the fullest. And you better believe they would have done so with no excuses.
In response to assignment: Black in America
