Interesting Name.
July 24, 2008 | Waynesboro, Pennsylvania | Vetting explained
Hi there,
To start out, my first and last name are both "Holden." They're spelled exactly the same. My two (2) middle names are Eli and Garret. My mom always told me she thinks it looks good on paper. As far as benefits, I've always told people that I'll be running for President in 2036, and since my name is pretty easy to remember, it'll be easier to garner votes that way. A downside, however, is the forming of awkward social settings. I'm terrible with names and faces, and my name makes it easy for people to remember me, while I have trouble remembering someone I met two hours ago.
The story behind my name is that my grandfather died a month before I was born. His last name was Holden, but people always called him that as a nickname. So my first name is in memory of him. My last name is my mother's maiden name, which she reverted to after she divorced. Thinking she would remarry, she didn't give me my father's last name. She never did, and thus, I have the same first and last name.
Thanks for considering/reading!
Holden
