Just Manipulative Politicians! Can we believe them? Who are they pandering to this time?

The idea of a politician bringing people together while separating themselves from their opponent goes back in time even before recorded human history. A time when tribal leaders formed their parties to engage in warfare and to do what was necessary to survive and move their people forward into a more promising future.
Today's more "civilized" political environment and specifically America's general election is no different than back then.
We the people, in order to form a more perfect union are always searching for those individuals like ourselves, the underdog, the common man who has relentlessly overcome adversity again and again, against all odds, scratching and clawing his way to the top to become our "presumptive nominees."
Then of course, we like to package it up to help simplify, sensationalize and separate the duality of it all: Old or New, War hero or Scholar, Orator or Insider, a Bush or a Kennedy, Yes we can, but No we won't or Maybe we will?
I have a Dream, that one day all Americans will be able to See the Light and Find the "Real" buried somewhere in the bowels of each of the candidates as they direct their assaults against each other, all the while focusing their energies on their diverse political, demographical, regional, ethnical and religious constituents in order to acquire their much needed votes, gain control and ultimately conquer their opponent to become the most powerful figure in the world, the President of the United States.
Let's face it. Politics, especially in a general election is the Mother of all Wars. So read my lips and ask not what your country can do for you, because You are No Jack Kennedy and, My Friends, make no mistake about it, either candidate would rather Lose a War than lose this Political Campaign.
