My name is Angenee, pronounced Ann-juh-nee. My mother wanted a
derivative of her name, Angela, and has a "its what came to mind"
explaination to the "nee". People who read it have called me
"agony" or pronounced it as if it were french derived like
"Awn-juh-nay". I use to frequently introduce myself as angie out of
habit from my high school days but found that people apparently
like to call you by your full name and would assume it stood for
angela. So neighbors would yell out hey angela! lol which is funny
to me but makes sense. So, more
often I give them Angenee and say you can call me angie, but
people like angenee and tend to use it very interchangeably. I've
met one other Angenee, a child who's mom called her name but I
don't know how her name was spelled.
