iReport —

CNN mainly covered big cities like Harlem, but where I am from, down here in the south, life is different for the black community. They get everything they want for free. Most black people here chose not to work because they are on welfare and the government gives them money for every kid they have. Also if no father is claimed, more money is given to them. (I know that other races do it, too, but I am talking about a mass number of people who abuse the system) There are black mothers here who live of their kids social security checks. I know blacks that do drugs all night and still live with their mom and dad. My neighbor is a black man that had a heart attack many years ago, he is on disability and does not work. Yet he gets on the roof and puts up Christmas lights every year, works in the yard, stays up all night with people coming in and out, not staying longer than five minutes like a drug dealer. Yet his life is so tough because he is black. On a local news channel, they were covering a story on Katrina survivors who were black. Its been three years and there are black families still living in free hotels, getting fed three free meals a day. They said on the news "why should we work, if we get all this for free?" And FEMA does nothing about because they are black and would be hateful racist if they did. Its our taxes that is paying for this, I pay for them to sit on their butt and smoke weed as we work for our money.

As far as opportuninity, my local college is required to hire a certain amount of black people. A white man and black man can interview for the same job with the same qualifications, and they will hire the black, because he is black. On the other hand if a black does not get a job, they throw the race card. I am so sick of people not seeing the bigger picture, here in the lower part of the U.S. Black people have it better than celebreties, free money, more opportunities than ever.

Now when I come home from a long day, I have to hear loud rap music riding by. I hear cars coming several blocks down before I see them, because of the bass. Gangs here are increasing. The gangs are breaking in white people's houses during the day while they are at work. You wont hear about this stuff on CNN. When I go to the grocery store, I have see blacks of all ages carry their pants below their butts, exposing their underwear, its quite sickening to see that this stuff was not portrayed. I see black mothers slap their kids in the head and cuss at them, then they grow up to be just like that. Blacks here will buy a run down Caprise, jack it up and put $3,000 dollar rims on them. Im so sick of this poor black people thing, I wish I was black, Id have it made. I know its not like this everywhere, and I know that there is alot of struggling families of all colors, but do something about it. Quit the Gimme Gimme and go get it for yourself.

On the story where the single mom was raising the kids by herself was a load of crap. She should make those kids get out and work after school. I had a job when I was in high school.
