Knuckle walking is the usual mode of gorilla locomotion. Occasionally they walk upright on two legs (bipedalism) especially when carrying something.

Jabari is the dominant silverback at the Philadelphia Zoo and is shown knuckle walking.

The upright gorilla is a juvenile male at the Philadelphia Zoo.
