My hero...
August 10, 2008 | Petersburg, Virginia | Vetting explained
I met him last year at a Black history month concert thrown at my college. It was kind of my birthday present from my mom to get me backstage. I'm only 24, but I've loved his music since I was little. So for me to meet him was amazing. But after the concert, I got this picture taken with him. I got a chance to tell him about all the work of his that I loved, and he was just the coolest cat you could've met. I'm gonna miss him.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
