John Edwards has admitted to an extra-marital affair that occured in 2006. Yes, it is out in the open and their personal anguish is now open to the public for everyone to scrutinize. How many of our past presidents, congress members and government officials have committed the same thing? No, it doesn't make it right but of those casting stones need to be standing behind shields themselves.
Has everyone forgotten that Mrs. Cindy McCain was also the mistress of John McCain before they married? He began an adulterous relationship with her while he was still married to his wife Carol. He dumped Carol and married Cindy shortly thereafter in Hawaii. You'll notice the McCain campaign is quiet on this revelation. I almost think Edwards should be invited to the Convention to see if McCain's campaign would make a "social" or "ethical" issue of it.
I'm sorry for Mrs. Edwards because aside from having to deal with a horrible illness, she has to deal with her marriage publicly.
