Question for Michael Phelps -- Record Breaking Golds
August 15, 2008 | Chicago, Illinois | Vetting explained
Michael, thanks for providing millions in America and around the world so much excitement and fun during your record-breaking "Gold Rush" of Olympic Medals in China. Do you think you could have beaten the best ever at their peak, like U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist Mark Spitz, with the older type of pools and bathing suits they used to wear, or do you think that the dolphin-like material suits and newer pools have allowed significant advantages to the swimmers ability to break so many records today? If the technology is not that different, are you just simply the best swimmer ever as the media has says?
