Coney Island memories: early 50's
Never, in my wildest dreams, did I imagine that Coney Island would be no more! It's one of those places that you believed would last forever. Terribly sad. Seems every time you turn-around, another icon from your youth falls victim to "progress".
Here's some slides from one of my many childhood visits to Coney Island during the 50's, I'll attach more as I come across them. They're a little scratchy but not too bad for being over 50 years-old .
