In loving memory
August 18, 2008 | Oisterwijk, Netherlands | Vetting explained
The first two pictures were taken in 1989. My husband and I had a party in Oisterwijk, The Netherlands, because of the fact that we were married 12 1/2 years. Unfortunately Isaac had a performance on the same evening here in The Netherlands, so we could not go to join it. We are fans from the early seventies, so it was a pity. Thanks to my sister who had written Isaac, we had a wonderfull evening!! Isaac himself and his engineer came after his show to congratulate us and he stayed more than an hour at the party!!! It was such a great surprise for us! And it is still a precious memory! Later that week we had the opportunity to go to a concert of Isaac in Belgium, and after that he invited us backstage!! In august 2007 we went to London to see Ike again, the very last time. The last two pictures are taken there. In october 2007 we went to Memphis and visited the Staxmuseum and Isaac's Restaurant and Shop. We regretted that both were closed.
Dear Isaac, rest in peace.
Lia Koenen, The Netherlands
