The New York Times is reporting tonight, August 18, 2008, that Barack Obama has finalized his V.P. choice. Why has it taken so long for him to announce the specifics of this decision is still a mystery. While most political commentators are assuming the pick will be Tim Kain, Joe Biden or Evan Bayh, three less obvious choices that may make this election a little more exiting would be Michael Bloomberg, Wesley Clark, or Hillary Clinton. If reports are correct, America should have the final answer momentarily. At this point Joe Biden, strong on experience, foreign poicy and with a solid reputation, seems to be the most likely choice and possibly most logical of them all. However, keeping with Obama's theme of "Change" might give Evan Bayh the advantange as a newer face on the scene.
