The Golan Heights
As a piece of history (in a shell), the first partition of Palestine was done during the British mandate in 1920-1921. Unrealistically with the actual political and social reality on the ground and only with the British desire of antagonism against the Jewish population the area of the Golan Heights was given to the French, at that time the governing colonial power in a dusty colony named Syria. At the same time, all the territories east of river Jordan were incorporated into an entity named Transjordan, who later becomes the Kingdom of Jordan.
The beauty of the Golan Heights it's impressive. The geo-political stategic role is important and paramount for defense, even the means of modern war changed so much in the last 3 decades.
What kind of peache can be signed, even if this territory will change hands sometime. en Egiptian or an Jardanian + or -. It not going to be one like in Western Europe today.
Only a profund change in education in the arab and muslim countries, advanced political attitudes and new focus on peace and prosperity can bring a real peace deal to this region.

A short history-bases novel, this book is a description of the two hours before the Yom Kippur War, 12M-02:00PM, on the Golan Heights, October 06th, 1973. The novel is based on interview with a Heavy Tank Battalion Commander that participated with his unit in all the bloody fights in the first four days of the battle for the Golan's control until the tide of the war turned in the Israel's favor and authentic Yom Kippur War historical archives. The book describes the later fierce war on the Golan Heights and was first published in Spanish, and soon will be available in English. For the Spanish edition, the book was reviewed by Col.(Army-Ret) Gustavo Vivas-Diaz. ISBN 978-1-60585-122-8.
