Take a kid canoeing - see America!

Joys of Native America on a River -please leave your own story of family on the river in the comments .
We can't all enjoy a ride in a birchbark or dugout canoe but all across America a there are clubs and rental places where we can take the kids for a day on a river to see America using very practical canoes and kayaks. A river can get us away from the typical bustle of the road and give us a chance to drop a line in the water with a kid, swim in a natural swimmin hole or just cruise down a river like that great American author, Mark Twain. You can help build great childhood memories for your kids.
Late summer and autumn are great times to see America by riverway rather than highway. Go get ‘em!!
