What is wrong with this world. And mostly with our country. Unfortunantly not very much suprises me anymore. But I do question how we got to this point as a people and as a country with out raising any red flags. My husband and I were watching TV last nignt and came across a comercial for the MTV awards. In the comercial it showed clips of old MTV awards like Little Kims outfit or should I say lack of out fit when she had her breast hanging out except for a flower pasted on it. Or of Madonna and Britney Spears kissing. How has that become acceptable. People will throw a fit if there is prayer in school but could care less that thier children are under attack everyday by songs like "I kissed a girl and I liked it." And by what their kids watch. MTV, BET, VH1, Cartoon Network, even Nickalodean and Disney are channels that millions of kids watch everyday 7 days a week. Are attacking our children. Have you ever sat down and watched what your children are watching. BET plays rap and r&b videos that are little more than soft porn. That glorify promiscuity(sex),gangs,violence and drug use. Degrades women and then has the nerve on Sunday to talk about God. MTV BET and VH1 all play music that is completely inappropriate for children, Teens, and most adults. Yet no one makes a big deal about it. MTV has a show called engaged and under age. Where they had a couple of Lesbian girls "get married" If you stand up and say that is wrong you are intolorant. Yet if you are a christian and want to exercise your right to pray in school or have a bible study there. You can not because of the intolrant people that want to scream about the seperation of church and state. Our country has became so tolorent off all the wrong things that no one even seems to blink when it happens. Even good christian people have been bombarded with it for so long that they have become numb to it. I know i use to be one of those people. We have become a nation of "Tolorance" but for all the wrong things. Some churches have started to allow homosexuals into thier clergy all in the name of tolorence. Even though it says right in the bible that homosexuality is an abomination to God. Guess they missed that verse. In the name of tolorence our people(christian people too) and our Country have strayed away from God and the Morals this country was built on. Our founding fathers would roll over in their graves if they could see what our country has become. This country was started by people seeking religious freedom. It was started by People who wanted to worship the Lord but couldn't. Now we are a country that does not allow christian freedoms unless they are done in your church and your home. We as a country have strayed so far from God and what the bible says we should do. But then when something bad happens we want to band together and pray and everyone is saying God Bless America. How that must hurt god. But we are no diffrent from the Isrealites that Moses freed. We pray to God when things are going really bad but forget about him and build up our own idols when all is going good. And we have taught our children to do the same. When will we as christians as a Country and just as people in genral who have values stand up and say enough is enough. When will we take our children back from the clutches of multi-million dollar corp. that don't care at all about our youth and how they are corrupting it and tell them NO MORE OUR CHILDREN ARE NOT FOR SALE. When will parents take back control of their children and say" No you will not disrespect me like you see the kids on TV doing to thier parents. You will respect me whether you like it or not." When did it become about being our kids friends instead of being thier athourity figure. It is time to take our Country back and most importantly our Children back. Please understand Corp. America does not care that they are corrupting our youth all they care about is the all mighty dollar. And they do not care if they get thier dollar from you or from your kids. Please we need people to have values and stand up to them and to protect our children. We as a country need to get back to the basics and the values that this country was founded on. Call a spade a spade. If something is wrong stop tolorating it and stand up and say it is wrong. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
