I am writing to let viewers know about the tremendous work taking place in Ghana, West Africa. I, Mrs. Serwah Quaynor, a mother of a child with autism, have made it a personal commitment to help children with autism. I was in search of services to help my child, and with no luck, decided to fufill my commitment to my son and to autism by founding an organization ten years ago in 1998. Autism Awareness Care Training (AACT) was formed to help children with autism and their families in Ghana to better understand the disorder and to feel that there is a safe place to go for support and help. Today the organization not only supports the parents and families but it also has become a centre for these children to receive a quality education. We would like to thank CNN and all the affiliated organizations for working toward autism awareness. It is wonderful indeed that the United Nations has given us this day, April 2nd, to raise awareness of Autism globally. We have planned a grand jubilee on April 27th to celebrate our children and their families.

We here at ACCT will celebrate the day:-

•        Public education campaign on radio and news papers•        Street exhibition of our Art work•        House to house visitations•        Mini street jamborees•        An Open day at ACCTThank you for supporting autism and taking the time to listen to our voice here in Ghana. We have been blessed with the opportunity to work with these children and adults with autism and hope that one day everyone will understand what a blessing these children are. Yours Sincerely, Serwah Quaynor(Founder and Executive Director)
