My previous question (which you can see here - http://www.ireport.com/docs/DOC-66001) was way too long. This version is much shorter.

=============================

Hello, Ms. Pelosi, my name is John Carroll and I live in Los Angeles, California.

You opposed the permanent extension of most favored nation status to China back in 2000

You oppose the free trade agreement with Colombia

You are reluctant to end the economic embargo of Cuba until that nation releases more of its political prisoners

Based on that, I can't call you an opponent of the concept of regime change, so much as an opponent of the methods used by the Bush Administration.

On that note, my question is: Why do you think the economic strangulation approach will work any better as a tool to influence foreign governments than the military-backed approach favored by George W. Bush?

Don't citizens of prosperous nations make better democrats than people scraping to feed their children at night?
In response to assignment: Ask Nancy Pelosi
