I created my own list, which does change periodically, of things I
would love to see, do and accomplish before I die. I am mid 40's
and have SOO much to do- at the rate I am going, I need to live to
150 to get most of this done!
They are not listed in any special order. I will however put
down what I have done and accomplished so far:
1) Hike Machu Picchu! Accomplished!! ( 10/06) I felt like I
was sitting in God's Livingroom...
2) Backpack ALL of Europe! Accomplished ( 3 times since
2005!) I love "traditional Europe but eastern Europe is so
incredibly fascinating. Italy is most favorite destination in the
world.
3) Go to Liverpool! Sing at the Cavern Club! Accomplished! (
I sang: Let it Be and the bartender clapped) :)
4) Shop at Tiffanys! ( In NYC) ( bought a ring) Manhattan is
a wonderful place to go. So many great stores and museums. I love
the library! Great restaurants and pizza! The Macy's Day Parade is
definitely something everyone should see.
5) Go to a Yankees Game and smile at Derek Jeter!! (
Accomplished in Baltimore) (The Yankees won!)
6) Go To China... (accomplished) ( wasn't impressed) (
Communism is horrible) They have destroyed th Ozone .. I hope I can
see a new gv't and the people of China go GREEN in my lifetime.
Such a repressed nation.
7) See the Iditarod! ( accomplished!) Mush!! Mush!! Alaska is
a wonderful place to go and visit. I loved Seward and Fairbanks. I
would love to go back and see Prudhoe Bay.
The rest of my Bucket List:
1) Learn to Play Jazz Tunes on the Piano; I have played since
I was 5.
2) Finish My Masters Degree
3) Live long enough to see my grandchildren
4) Go to Bora Bora, The Arctic and Africa (going in Feb)
5) Camp in Yellowstone Nat'l Park
6) Find the love of my life! ( Where are you?!)
7) See The Northern Lights!
Bottom line is, I want to be the best Mother ( and eventual
Grandmother) I can be ( I have 3 grown children and a wonderful son
in law), The best sister, daughter, Aunt and friend. I want to know
that with my dying breath, that there isn't a single regret and
that all I had ever dreamt of doing had been accomplished.
