Imagine if you will a board room filled with college educated
well spoken Americans whos sole purpose is to win a Presidential
campaign. As they sit there pondering their options a lone voice
suddenly speaks, "I have an idea, lets avoid making any real
promises or suggesting any solutions to the current problems
afflicting our nation by creating some commercials that scare the
voters into voting for our candidate and if any one tries to say
anything bad about our guy we can just have him reference the most
horendous thing that ever happened to him to the the point that it
diffuses the opponents arguments. With all the money that went into
educating these creative genuises the only thing that they have
actually managed to do is make John McCains time as a war prisoner
look like an excuse to avoid discussing the reality of the moment
and by trying to scare us with what might happen when Obama becomes
President they have only reenforced the fact that we the American
people are tired of the petty and child like behavior coming out of
Washington. If we continue to fear the future based solely on the
evils of the past then maybe we deserve John McCain. We need to be
willing to take chances and fail in order to grow as a nation.
McCain may not be George Bush, but he is tainted by being in his
world. I would rather go with someone who has a bit of a dreamer
still living within him then a person who has been forced to
repress whatever dreams he may have had in order to live in a world
run by a group of MAD MEN.
