DENVER - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's big
speech on Thursday night will be delivered from an elaborate
columned stage resembling a miniature Greek temple.
The stage, similar to structures used for rock concerts, has
been set up at the 50-yard-line, the midpoint of Invesco Field, the
stadium where the Denver Broncos' National Football League team
plays.
Some 80,000 supporters will see Obama appear from between
plywood columns painted off-white, reminiscent of Washington's
Capitol building or even the White House, to accept the party's
nomination for president.
He will stride out to a raised platform to a podium that can
be raised from beneath the floor.
The show should provide a striking image for the millions of
Americans watching on television as Obama delivers a speech
accepting the Democratic presidential nomination.
Politicians in past elections have typically spoken from the
convention site itself, but the Obama campaign liked the idea of
having their man speak to a larger, stadium-sized crowd not far
from where the Democratic National Convention is being held, at the
Denver pro basketball arena.
Obama was taking a page from the campaign book of John
Kennedy in 1960 when the future president delivered his acceptance
speech to 80,000 people in the Los Angeles Coliseum.
Once Obama speaks, confetti will rain down on him and
fireworks will be fired off from locations around the stadium wall.
Democratic convention organizers said the theme for the
evening is "Change We Can Believe In," which has been a consistent
message of Obama's presidential campaign.
Oscar-winning actress and singer Jennifer Hudson will sing
the national anthem that night.
Who is Barack Hussein Obama?
The man who
sat under a church for 20 years. Under a hatemonger by the name
of preacher Jeremiah Wright, who spouts hatred of whites, and
spouts "GD America" from the pulpit no less! The man who accepted
this message by sitting in that pew for 20 years.
The man whose
mentor in high school was Frank Marshall Davis, a communist,
well known to all. Where Obama cloned his socialist, communist
ideas to impose upon Americans.
The man who obtained his home by
frauding the taxpayers out of 14 millions dollars, with the
help of felon Rezko. You see, he's used to taking taxpayer money.
It would be a cinch for him. He could sleep at night.
The man who
launched his political career in the home of Bill Ayers, a home
grown terrorist, that bombed our own Capitol and our Pentagon, and
whose organization killed our own policeman. And to this day Bill
Ayers is NOT REPENTENT, and says he wish he had done more. Obama
still is friends with this home-grown terrorist, who wishes he had
done more.
The man who will
raise taxes on virtually everyone. And those who squeak by, will
be paying doubling gas and food prices with their minute windfall,
so it will be moot.
Obama whose
neutrality stance will put the US in a precarious and defensive
postion, calling for a draft.
Obama
says that Iran is just a little country. It's not dangerous.
Obama who says he will meet with them with no preconditions.
Obama who as a senator sent $50 billion dollars of our
taxpayer money to Africa.
Obama who touts change. You mean change the constitution.
Obama's arrogance, stupidity, socialism, lies have lost this
election for him. And I thank God for that.
