VP Choice Sarah Palin
August 29, 2008 | Knoxville, Tennessee | Vetting explained
In the perfect counter to the Obama/Biden ticket, Senator McCain's choice of Republican Governor Sarah Palin of Alaska is a choice that will take the focus away from Obama's grand acceptance speech. It also shows that Obama is not the only candidate willing and able to make "change."
I think the choice is definitely a strategic one meant to go after the younger vote and reel in many members of Senator Hillary Clinton's female support base to have them give Senator McCain a second look in a fresh new light.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
